Was bummed previously to know that Skull Kid (w/ Majora's Mask final smash) wasn't being included as a playable fighter, and now Sakurai pulls the rug out from under my feet once again using Saki Amamiya as an Assist. Bleh. Saki would have made for a really cool jet-pack wielding, sword and gun combo-based fighter. Whatevs, Sakurai,  you crazy troll, you. :P

Is there hope for Ray 01, Jill (Drill Dozer), Ridley, Mike Jones, Raymond, Prince Sable, and Takamaru?

Interesting that Samurai Goroh is confirmed as an assist trophy, but Captain Falcon isn't confirmed as returning. . .yet.

Well we got the Ashley Assist Trophy revealed a few months ago and yet no Wario, and we've seen pictures of the Mr. Saturn item with no Ness revealed yet either.  We also got a Kirby picture showing the sky of the Mario Galaxy stage a few months before it was officially revealed.  Plus we got pictures of some Namco themed items after the Direct which makes Pac-Man's inclusion even more likely then it already was.

So Sakurai has no problem hinting at things early with this game that are going to be revealed later.  He pretty much figures the fans know some of these things are already guaranteed so he's going to have fun trolling us longer by showing stuff from their series but not the real deal just yet.
