Sure, I'm sure there are at least a few other people the "Year of Luigi" can manage to kill. You'd really think given how underwhelming this "year" was that Nintendo wouldn't be eager to extend it.

Wow, underwhelming? So cynical! What do you want from them? Luigi appeared in some of the best games of the year.

I still think we're getting Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon HD early in 2014. And I'm all for it.

I'm playing Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon now and I am enjoying it. I have no problems with them extending the "Year of Luigi" so they can put out another thing or two that revolves around Luigi.

I'm wondering what games are left for the "Year of Luigi".  Are they just going to count Mario Kart and Smash Bros?

The Nintendo Direct where they announced the year of Luigi included the announcement of Mario Golf for 3DS, which was pushed into 2014. Also, if the "launch window" is any indication, I wouldn't be hugely surprised if this year went into 2015.

Looks like Luigi's had his first taste of fame and power and now he doesn't want to let it go. They've created a monster!

So between the "launch" window for the Wii U and now the year of Luigi I am thinking Nintendo seriously needs to look at one of those calendars they give out for Club Nintendo every year.

I wish I had that power.

"So, your Birthday is coming up right?"

"You'll be 27 right?"

"26 actually"

"Weren't you 26 last year?"

"Yeah, but I decided that this year would carry over into next year"

"...So? What, you've just decided to ignore that fact that a Birthday is an annual tradition and pretend that last year is also this year?"

It would make some sense if the Year of Luigi lasted until when they announced it, making it a full 365 days, but anything more than that is ridiculous. They've done plenty for this.
