Kirby goes stereoscopic in 2014.

A new Kirby game has been revealed during this morning's Nintendo Direct video conference, scheduled to release some time next year.

The title looks to have many of the series staples, including Kirby's Copy ability, the super suction power seen in the Kirby's Return to Dreamland on Wii, and a new feature in which the puffball hero can travel forward and backward between level layers, similar to games like Donkey Kong Country Returns.

The game has not yet been given an official title, but more details will emerge in time.

I'm always up for more Kirby. It's about time he got a 3DS game. Right on!

Looking at the trailer for this game, it looks to be one of the few games to take advantage of the 3D effect and just have complete fun with it. Trains rushing towards you, a boss weaving around through the 3d space and Kirby getting slammed into your screen. It looks like developers just want to keep us amused and happy which is how all Kirby games should be approached. Definitely looking forward to this.

I love when they do stuff like that with the 3DS, Khushrenada. And with Kirby, it's all too perfect!
