Tomorrow night, we dine on Pikmin soup.

A Pikmin 3 Direct will be airing in Japan, starting June 26 at 8 pm JST (7 am EST, 4 am PST, 12 pm BST.)

Shigeru Miyamoto and Japanese comedian Hitoshi Matsumoto, a self professed Pikmin lover, will be playing the game together, while Matsumoto interviews Miyamoto about the game. You can watch the stream through Nintendo's event page, Nico Nico Video, or Ustream.

Pikmin 3 releases in Japan on July 13, and in Europe and North America on July 26 and August 4, respectively.

Talkback

As per usual, Nintendo has announced a Nintendo Direct less than 24 hours before it happens, and about two weeks after E3.

On a side note: Why are all the Japanese Directs at a normal time? They get 8 pm, we get 7 am. WTF?!

Because this is a ND for Japan, and will be in Japanese. Danny just put in those other times so you know what time it will be in your local region. The Japanese ND's are aimed at the Japanese audiences, hence why they air at a time that is good for them.

Anytime there is a worldwide Direct (as of late anyway), Nintendo seems to choose the best time they can around the world. When it's 7 am on the West coast in the US, it's still 11 pm here in Japan. The Japan only stuff typically starts at 8 pm...with the exception of one time when one was released at noon on a work day. It was Japan only, too! *shakes head*

I understand that. I'm saying that whenever they do an America ND it starts at 7am. It's not fair that when there's a Japanese ND the time is much, much better for them.

As Danny said, North American ones tend to start at like 10am EST.
