Where U will eat next.

Burger King will soon be giving out Wii U toys with Kids Meals. Currently no other information on the toys is known.

News of this promotion comes directly from the Burger King Crown subsite intended for children.

Readers may remember that last month rumor of this promotion sprang up when a supposed Burger King employee asked Game Industry Analyst Michael Pachter a question about it during an episode of Pach Attack. While still unconfirmed, that employee mentioned that the Wii U toys would be hitting stores Oct. 25, 2012.

Big question here is will the toys have NFC features?

I doubt it.

Either way, I may try and get as many as I can because right now I don't think I will have enough money to get a Wii U at launch.

Oh come on, how fucking meta is that? We know nothing about the toys about the console which we know virtually nothing about (at least until last week)!

Huge missed opportunity if they dont. Imagine the frenzy and added value. Grown adults would be buying toys to make sure they have the free nfc goodies.

I wonder if Burger King would consider releasing cheap Wii U downloadable games/apps, like they did the $2.99 XBox 360 games. That would be a great platform to use NFC with!

They should have teamed up with McDonalds instead. McDonalds is more high profile than Burger King is. Plus they have a history with teaming up with McDonalds in the past.

LithiumSeptember 20, 2012

the closest burger king is like 3 hours from where i live lol

TJ SpykeSeptember 20, 2012

Lith, do you live out in the boondocks or something? There are about 7,200 Burger Kings in the United States (there are 5 within 15 miles of me).

I am glad they chose BK, their food is much better than McDonalds.

I had a chicken sandwich at Burger King last week. They now have Cinnabon.

Wii U toys? It would make more sense if they were related to the Wii U's actual launch games, which are:

We actually know quite a lot of confirmed launch games, I know we have at least 15 confirmed names.

don't worry people, they will do McDonald's a year or 2 from now, and Wendy's. But if I can play as the King in Smash Bros.

WIN

Does anyone remember when Nintendo teamed with Taco Bell for the N64? Man, those were great times.
