Aliens: Colonial Marines on Wii U Not Playable at E3 2012

We won't be reporting back about Wii U motion tracker controls at E3.

The Wii U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines will not be playable at E3 2012, according to representatives from Sega.

This follows earlier news of a delay to February 12, 2013 for other versions of the game. The Wii U version wasn't given the same solid release date, with Sega saying that that version's release date would be announced later.

This effectively dashes any dreams of Aliens: Colonial Marines being launched on Nintendo's next system before the other versions. It is likely that Sega and Gearbox's game will come out on Wii U sometime in the first few months of 2013.

DAMN. I was so sure that Sega was being coy about the release date for Wii U for a more positive reason. Oh well.

So far it seems like nothing for the WiiU will be playable at E3.  This may be the borest E3 for this site ever at this rate.

As someone who has been reporting these news stories and finding out more, I'm extremely wary of what will actually be playable on Wii U this year. Obviously Nintendo will have some cool shit, but more and more, I feel like it'll be the same ol' third party crap and excuses we always get on Nintendo systems. :(

I mean, it's likely that all Wii U demos will just be at Nintendo's booth. Hopefully third-parties will be present there. Who knows...

I feel like this is the opposite of what should be true.

Because it's Nintendo's fault that 3rd party rushed, sloppy, poorly thought-out, farmed out to some fly-by-night programming house ports fail to sell against Nintendo's own titles.

I was not placing the blame on Nintendo.

In all honesty, if I were to be placing blame, it'd be on all parties involved.

And this version is being made by the original developer! How is that even something that should be brought up in this topic!

Soon, the entire games industry will crash due to incompetence.

Oh, I was being sarcastic. There really needs to be a "sarcasm" emoticon.
