Rayman's 3DS outing will have to wait a little longer.

Rayman Origins for the Nintendo 3DS has been officially delayed until June 2012, according to Ubisoft.

Rayman Origins saw release on the Wii in November 2011. The 3DS version of the game was originally scheduled to release on March 20 in North America. However, those holding out for this version of the game will have to wait just a little longer to enjoy the newest Rayman adventure.

Played this at a friend's house on PS3.  Played the Wii version when a different friend brought it over.  Played the Vita version on yet another friend's Vita.

Reactions:

A) Animation is amazing and should show other developers that polygons are not always best for visuals.

B) It ain't no Mario game.  Aside from the visuals, it was a meh-tacular experience.

Verdict:

*yawn*

maybe they will add street pass features and multiplayer ?  :cool;

Unless features are added (ahem: multiplayer modes!) or the price reduced for launch, it's going to be a tough sell. But maybe a second launch will help the game find some new fans. I thought it was pretty awesome and one of the best platformers of the generation on consoles, so a portable version is cool.
