Challenge Mario and Sonic on the New Blue Wii Bundle

Nintendo launches Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games bundle with the newly configured blue Wii on 18 November 2011.

10th October 2011 – Budding Olympians can now get ready for the  London 2012 Olympic Games alongside their favourite video game characters, with a little help from Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games™. To help you work on your sporting skills and have a lot of fun while doing it, Nintendo is releasing the ultimate bundle this year featuring a copy of the game and an exclusive newly configured* blue Wii, available from 18th November.

Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games™ marks the return of the highly successful sports franchise and takes Mario, Sonic and all of their friends to London, the home of the upcoming 2012 Olympic Games.  The successful duo are back - bigger and better - bringing even more multiplayer fun into your living room just in time for Christmas.

You and your friends will be able to practice new Olympic events such as Football, Show Jumping and Canoeing, while many of your favourite past events make a return but have been refined to make them even more challenging and fun. Classic Olympic events such as the 100m Sprint, Aquatics and Table Tennis are all back and better than ever. Try combining these gems with the much loved Dream Events and you will have more choice than ever before.

Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games™ allows you to take to the streets of London and make the city your personal playground. Choose your favourite characters in the London Party mode and take part in a number of mini-games that are linked to some of London’s most famous landmarks.

The new Wii bundle, launching across Europe on 18th November2011, includes a newly configured Wii console in blue and a copy of Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games™. A number of other fun Wii bundles are also being announced this autumn, all offering great value. Watch this space!

I knew it! I knew it would be a blue Wii just by reading the title. That, and there's really no other obvious new colors to choose from. A green Wii would be tight. With a little Link hat on top.

Now they need to come out with a Princess Peach game to bundle with a Pink Wii to match that Pink Wiimote too.

Wow. Sonic on the box of a Nintendo console.

I don't see where the * next to "newly configured" leads, but I'm guessing this is the, "Now with 100% less Gamecube support!" edition.

Super Princess Peach Wii.  Though I rather see it for 3DS.  Maybe Daisy vs Peach.  Pauline is forcing them to fight after being mostly forgotten in the series.

Judging by the orientation of the Wii logo in the picture of the console, it must be.

Too bad it's the same colour as the blue Wiimote they came out with a while back, it looks a little weird to me. A darker blue would be a better choice, one that more closely matched the colour of Sonic or Mario's coveralls.

First all the JRPG's, and now a blue Wii!? Why can't we have nice things?

nickmitchOctober 11, 2011

Because NOA doesn't care about Wii gamers. West>

I really want nice things... A blue Wii would be freakin' awesome. I'm really in the RPG mind too. I just restarted Dragon Quest 9. I'm seriously thinking about doing all the side quests in it too. I'm really hungry for some good JRPGs.

Ugh! Mario &Sonic at the Olympics is the best bundled game they could come up with this late into the system's life?

What perplexes me is the fact that they announced this and didn't announce a Golden Wii/Zelda Bundle. A Zelda Bundle seems like a no brainer especially since they already made the special addition Wiimote.

That would be great.  That is what NoA should have announced instead of Gimpy the Lame Wii.

King of TwitchOctober 11, 2011

The problem is that no one would actually be able to buy it. "They'd be like, I'd like a... *snicker*...Golden Wii please...with, *blurts out loudly* Zelda!" Then the cashier would just stand there crumpled over laughing until closing time, with a long line of confused customers awkwardly staring.
