Bundle up for Shinobi and CRUSH3D this winter.

Shinobi and CRUSH3D will be released for Nintendo 3DS in North America on November 15, 2011 and February 21, 2012, respectively.

Shinobi for 3DS will be the 12th game in the series, and the first since 2003's release of Nightshade on Playstation 2. The game will feature some sort of not-as-of-yet detailed StreetPass functionality. You can check out early impressions of the game here.

CRUSH3D, a sequel to 2007's Crush on the PSP, was original set to release in early September. The title is a puzzle game which allows you to switch between 2D and 3D views on the fly. Developer Paul Mottram indicated earlier this week that the game had been delayed due to the limited success of the Nintendo 3DS platform.

Release Dates Confirmed for CRUSH3D and Shinobi on Nintendo 3DS

Shinobi Hits Late 2011 and CRUSH3D Early 2012

SEGA Europe Ltd. And SEGA of America today confirmed the release dates for two of their most anticipated Nintendo 3DS™ titles. Shinobi™ will be released on November 15, 2011, while CRUSH3D™ will be released on February 21, 2012.

Shinobi for Nintendo 3DS will put players in the shoes of Jiro Musashi, the father of Joe Musashi from the original 1989 release, offering a glimpse into Musashi family history. Sporting a vast story mode as well as an innovative, yet to be announced StreetPass™ mode, Shinobi will keep players coming back for more ninja action.

CRUSH3D is set in the mind of the young protagonist Danny, where he is testing out his friend’s new invention C.R.U.S.H. When the machine falls in love with Danny, he has to work his way through mind-stretching puzzles that blend 2D and 3D elements to escape its clutches.

Wow, that's a large push back... I wonder why all the delays.  Cave Story got a large push too.

I'm just going to be real blunt here: Eat shit, Sega. You're making September even more depressing. I probably won't even play either game now, you jerks.

On a less childish note, this is depressing for current 3DS owners.

Supposedly, this move is being made because 3DS hardware and software sales are so slow.  If that's the case, can you really blame Sega (a company with a reputation for throwing games out to die) for not wanting to throw two more products out to die in the marketplace?

I love that the Sega press release makes no effort to mention that this constitutes a delay. Nicely done, PR Engine.

It is actually a good idea that games get delay and not have a specific target time. Look what happen to Sonic 2006. Sega is just bad at setting due datse. That is all. Just pretend that It was always has been for November and Feb. Still pretty far push though.

I was looking forward to CRUSH3D, especially since I'm getting a review copy.
