One Piece's popular DS fighter is translated to English... for Europe only.

One Piece: Gigant Battle for Nintendo DS will not be coming to Australia, despite the recent European launch.

Jason Evans, PR and Promotions Manager of Namco Bandai Partners Australia confirmed to us that DS titles based on anime franchises such as One Piece, Dragonball and Naruto will not be receiving as much attention for Australian release due to concerns of oversaturation of DS titles in the Australian Market.

Australian classification of games targeted towards such a niche fanbase is a risky business due to low sales expectations. The games have English text but use the Japanese voices.

No word was given on the upcoming European release of the 3DS game, One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP. Recent One Piece games have not been released in North America with no games released since One Piece: Unlimited Adventure for Wii in 2008.

So pretty much they are saying that the DS Lineup is strong enough and flowing well enough that these games have a bad Risk to Reward Ratio.  Though by that logic their is a better chance of the 3DS one making it because it fills a similar niche and the 3DS could use more games.
