Beams and boss battles in this brief gameplay trailer. UPDATED with two more trailers.

The latest Metroid: Other M trailer shows more gameplay elements, with action from corridors and boss areas. Samus is shown using the wave beam to shoot enemies in all directions as well as bosses at close range. The grapple beam is demonstrated in first and third person modes as Samus navigates a boss area. The morph bomb is shown for opening new areas, and finally the speed boost function shows her dashing down a corridor through ice sheets.

In addition, there are a few new screenshots showing examples from the boss battles. The full set of screens are accessible via our Metroid: Other M game profile.

The official Metroid website has updated with a trailer titled "Metroid and Me," a history of the first three Metroid games, narrated by Samus Aran.  Check it out below.

Yet another trailer demonstrates the switch between first and third-person views in a variety of environments and situations.

Man I don't know how much more people need to see before they will give this game a chance. So stoked, plus I got a call from Nintendo saying I won a copy of the game from a contest I entered. Sweet deal.

The game looks great, wish I could see more of the exploration aspects though. Besides that it looks and plays like a Metroid game which is a good thing!

Ahh and all we had to do was see half the game in screenshots and trailers before the Nintendo DIEHARD is ready to give this game a fair shake. But seriously, if this doesn't turn out good, Samus will be served with "tha papas"

Is it just me or does Samus look so young and naive in that third screen? It looks like she wants to look out the window... but can't.

Though I am not a woman, I can relate.
