Dragon Quest Monsters and Fire Emblem Dominate Media Create Charts

Both titles see strong debuts on their respective systems.

According to last week's Media Create sales charts (week of July 12-17), Nintendo’s Fire Emblem remake and Square Enix’s latest Dragon Quest Monsters title saw impressive debut numbers. Each title entered the rankings with 136,000 copies sold.

Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem Hero of Light and Shadow is a DS remake of the Super Nintendo title released in 1994. Dragon Quest Monsters Battle Road Victory is a card battle-based game for Wii which originally saw life as an arcade title.

In the fourth spot is Nintendo’s Wii Party, which sold 113,000 copies last week for a total of 348,000 copies sold. In the seventh spot is Level-5’s Inazuma Eleven 3: World Challenge for the DS, selling a total of 46,000 copies. The final DS title in the rankings is Harvest Moon Twin Villages. The farming title sold 20,000 copies this week.

Nice to see Fire Emblem selling well. I hope that these sales help lead to a new console FE.

Who cares how it does in Japan, the more important question--when is it coming here?  Really love my grid-based tatics game and it nice to finially get FE3, I never did bother with any of the nes roms so this title would be entirely new to me :0.
