In honor of Pac-Man’s 30th anniversary, he will hold a party on Nintendo’s console.

Namco Bandai Games of America has announced a new Pac-Man game in honor of the mascot’s 30th anniversary. Pac-Man Party is a party game made exclusively for the Wii. Slated to come out in North America this fall, Pac-Man party will feature over 45 mini-games and is designed to invite all kinds of players while challenging their timing and reflex skills. Pac-Man Party will have four different modes of play. The first of these is Story mode where players explore the game board. Mini-Game mode allows players to jump directly into their favorite game. Party mode, the most in-depth mode in the game, allows up to four players to race across the game boards to collect as many coins as possible.

Classic versions of Pac-Man and other Namco arcade titles such as Galaga and Dig Dug will also be featured in the final game.

Pac-Man Party is set to be released Fall 2010.

I want Championship edition on Wiiware !!!!!

AdrockJune 20, 2010

Party. Yeah, that's exclusive to the Wii.....

Depending on how many arcade games are on the disc, it could be worth it just for them (as it could be cheaper than buying them all on VC). Party games vary in quality, so it's too early to judge this one.

Not if you don't like party games or if you have one or more of the 286253498723 on the Wii.......

Could be awesome.

Won't be.

But could be.

That is true of any genre. I don't like sim racing games, so I don't give a shit about Gran Turismo 5.

This is no way to honour a 30th anniversary!

I don't remember Mario's 25th being that overly special, but then again Nintendo did fist-shove Mario into a party game for his birthday.
