Since we don't have the MSX in America, I guess I'll have to wait and see if the NES version of Metal Gear ever comes out.  Has anyone played it to know if it's any good?

Final Fight 3 kicks ass.  It's probably the best beat-em-up in the SNES and it's got a lot more variety in case you're the type that finds that genre too one-dimensional.  It's also relatively obscure compared to the other Final Fight games.  The only problem is it suffers from some patented Super Nintendo slowdown when things get really hectic.  Funny how back then I used to put up with that far more than I would put up with a sluggish framerate today.

It's okay, but kinda weird in the translation.

We all know that the only real reason anyone would want to play Final Fight is to ogle Poison! He's gotta be the hottest villain, ever! :-*

I only watched playthroughs of the first Metal Gear MSX game via the PS2 ports from MGS3: Subsistance. It looks okay. MG2: Solid Snake, however, is vastily superior to the first MG game in many ways. The fact it isn't bogged down with 60 hours of cutscenes helps.

coming from the same guy who liked MGS2 more then MGS1/3.

I don't know anything about the MSX version but the NES version was one of my favorite games back in the day.

Peachylala: I used to own MG2: SS and I didn't finish it. It was kinda like Zelda 2 in that it would switch to sidescroller mode and I wasn't too fond of that.

Sounds like MG2: Snakes Revenge, a non-canon North America-only sequel. I could be wrong.
