E3 sent us into a tail spin and we got a bit behind. Check out the releases that happened during E3 and the two weeks after it.
(Editor's Note: Sorry this is so late. I promise that the next article will actually be out during the week it is supposed to come out.)
And we're back!
If you can't tell by the slow devolution of this article, it is really tough to put together. That's why we're trying another format change. Hopefully, this will allow us to get this article up earlier and make it just as strong. Let us know what you think in Talkback!
The first half of June has seen a lot of releases that range from the first batch of Wii MotionPlus games to new Guitar Hero games.
Two weeks ago, Nintendo's new peripheral Wii MotionPlus launched, and so did EA and Sega's MotionPlus debuts, Grand Slam Tennis, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, and Virtua Tennis 2009. Tiger Woods also comes bundled with the peripheral. Check out our review of Tiger Woods for more details on them.
EA's latest MySims game, MySims Racing, also came out for Wii and DS recently. MySims Racing seems to be similar to Mario Kart, but with EA's new roster of characters. Sega also has another release this week in Let's Tap, which requires players to tap their way to victory. Check out our preview on that one.
Atari has finally succeeded in bringing the long-delayed Ghostbusters video game out as it finally hit stores last week. Ghostbusters: The Video Game, developed by Red Fly Studio on Wii and Zen Studios on DS, features a brand new story written by Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd and almost all of the voice talent from the original films. Check out our preview and impressions for the Wii version.
Starfy made his American debut two weeks ago (technically it was Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but he was Stafy in that game) in Nintendo and TOSE's The Legendary Starfy, which is actually the fifth game in the series even though it is the first in North America. Check out Zachary Miller's E3 impressions of the game for more about it.
LucasArts brought Indiana Jones back to the Wii and DS in non-LEGO form in Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. This A2M-developed game takes Indy all over the world as he searches for Moses' legendary staff. Check out our preview of the Wii version.
While Indy wasn't in LEGO form, there was a LEGO presence recently as LEGO Battles, a DS real time strategy, came out at the same time. Take a peek at our recent Q&A with Producer Phill Ring.
Activision has some more Guitar Hero games on the way as Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits came out on DS and Guitar Hero: Smash Hits is came out for Wii. Look at our preview of Modern Hits for more details on it.
