Konami's first console title in the series introduces Wii controls and "dependable pets."

Konami recently announced that their latest Lost in Blue game, Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked!, is now out for Wii. The first in the series on a console (previous games have all been on the DS), Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked! takes advantage of the Wii's innovative controls as players use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to battle the elements and survive on a deserted island.

The latest game also brings about some series firsts, like the addition of pets who help gather items and a chance for a second player to aid the experience. The two-player co-operative gameplay is featured specifically in the 30-plus mini-games that showcase survival skills such as fire-making, carpentry, and fishing.

Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked! is rated E10+ and is available now for $29.99.

Gamepro has rubbished it already but we can just assume Konami didn't buy enough adspace.

Lost in Blue is one of those games I love, but am ever-wary of when there's a new version. Like I bought the first two games, but haven't bought the third DS title.

The Wii game, however, is 30 bucks. HMMMM....

The Lost in Blue games always interested me on the DS but I never got one. This I will give a rental and try it out.

I bought the first one on the DS and enjoyed it, but this series seems to be like Harvest Moon for me where I prefer to have it on a handheld.
