Prince of Persia: The Fallen King will feature stylus control and an all new character: the "Magus."

Ubisoft recently announced that their Casablanca studio is working on a DS exclusive Prince of Persia game. Titled Prince of Persia: The Fallen King, the game will expand the Prince of Persia saga and will accompany the console and PC Prince of Persia game coming out this holiday season.

The game's story involves the titular Prince dealing with a dark substance called Corruption. He will also be joined by a mysterious magical ally named Magus. Players will be able to switch between the two to solve various puzzles. Seemingly taking a cue from the recent Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, Prince of Persia: The Fallen King will take advantage of the DS stylus controls to "deliver the extraordinary acrobatic and combat action that fans have come to expect from the Prince of Persia franchise."

Prince of Persia: The Fallen King is scheduled for release this holiday season.

About Prince of Persia: The Fallen King

Facing imminent danger, the Prince flees to a deserted kingdom that seemingly offers sanctuary. Already touched by the evil Corruption, a dark substance that physically contaminates the land and the skies, the kingdom is filled with adventure, challenge and intrigue. As the Prince seeks a way to fight the spreading Corruption destroying the land, he encounters a partially infected creature that promises salvation. But is the creature truly an ally or merely an enemy in disguise? It seems this perilous alliance may be the only way for the Prince to face the forces of darkness and save the Persian kingdom from the Corruption once and for all.

This sounds somewhat interesting. I'm curious to see how it turns out.

A dark substance called "Corruption"? COME ON. If you're going to copy the idea, at least give it a new name.

Gah, don't remind me... Phazon Metroids: You thought beam-coded Metroids were annoying?

It's not.  They've released a screen shot that looks atrocious.  I predict Ubisoft shovelware.

This story is gonna get so crazy! I mean, I like totally get it!
Corruption is infecting some kind of space alien that looks like a jellyfish and also turning elven boys into wolves. While that's going, some down on his luck king meets up with some paper folk who are getting flipped and/or flopped all while another elven boy gets turned into a bunny rabbit.

I know that they are going for a kid-friendly look, but I think this is way too much. The character art of the prince looks like something out of Maple Story.

KDR_11kJuly 01, 2008

I thought it looked like the "hero" guy from Disgaea.

why does it look like the art for this game was made in MS Paint?
