Edward Zinser has stepped down from his post for unspecified reasons.

THQ's Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Edward Zinser, has resigned from his position with the publisher. The move is effective immediately.

Zinser's departure comes as THQ has lowered sales estimates and delayed several key titles outside of the holiday release period. According to a THQ spokesperon, the timing of Zinser's action "is in no way related to the financial condition, results of operations or future prospects of THQ."

THQ's President and CEO, Brian Farrell, is confident that this bump in the road won't affect his company's standing in the long run, thanks to the "deep and experienced management team" at THQ.

THQ VP and Controller, Rasmus van der Colff , will act as the company's temporary CFO.
