Heaven or Hell! Let’s Rock!

Torrance, CA (June 22, 2007) – The newest incarnation of the popular fighting game franchise, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, comes to the PlayStation®2 and Wii, courtesy of Aksys Games, a publisher of interactive entertainment products. Developed by Arc System Works, this latest iteration returns with its trademark high-resolution graphics along with an entirely retuned fighting system, new stages, new characters, graphics, voices and the ability to create matches between old and new characters in the Generations Mode.

"Accent Core is definitely a game for the elite fighting game connoisseur, with its wickedly fast, technique oriented gameplay," said Michael Manzanares, Producer, Aksys Games. "Guilty Gear veterans will definitely enjoy finding out all the intricacies of their favorite characters and mastering all the new gameplay enhancements and systems."

All of your favorite characters have returned with new moves and an alternate EX version of each. Accent Core also introduces 2 reinvented fighters, A.B.A and Order-Sol that have never been seen outside of Japan.

  • Refined fighting game system with 3 new gameplay systems!

Accent Core’s Force Break, Throw Escape and Slash Back systems give all the fighters’ new defensive and offensive capabilities.

I'm posting in this thread because it gives credit to the person that found it first face-icon-small-wink.gif

I might pick this up, but only cause its popular around here, and I haven't played a fighting game I like in a looong time.

I can't believe they used "waggle" in an official press release.

PaleMike Gamin, Contributing EditorJune 22, 2007

Hah, that's awesome!

Who was it that was all upset and calling that term derogatory?

I can't wait to get this game, the Guilty Gear series (well the ones that are the XX brand) are always so good.

Well Phoenix Access Core is the 3rd remake of Guilty Gear XX (each remake is certain different arcade tweaks) and all versions of guilty gear XX was always on PS2, I think ArcSystems wanted to make a Wii version since the Wii is extremely popular everywhere and the possible new audience penetration that the Wii offers over the PS2.

That may be true, i just find it dissapointing that companies are still doing the "Hey we have this game for PS2 lets throw it on the Wii too".

I bet he just loves that you posted his email in plaintext.

I already have X2 and X2 Reload, I don't think I need another version of the same game. Unless..

KDR_11kJune 23, 2007

I don't even have Reload.

Actually I figured you might be since you had the thread up in the Wii section about 10-15 minutes before the News Story posted. But I really wanted to support the thread that gave credit to a forum user over the one that didn't, since none of the NWR staff seem to check the forums even though the stories they post are already being discussed in there.

Not that it's a big deal or anything (a non-issue really), its just something I don't see happen often and would like to see happen more often.
