Now up to 16 games for Europe and 11 for Australia and New Zealand.

With just a day before the Wii launches in Australia, and two days before Europe's, the Wii Shop has been updated again with a wider selection of titles.

Adding to the initial NES selection of Donkey Kong, Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Wario's Woods, four Sega Mega Drive, two Super Nintendo, and one Nintendo 64 game are now available. In addition, all of the listed Nintendo and Sega games are now available in all Nintendo-served PAL countries. In total, 16 games are downloadable in Europe, with 11 for sale in Australia and New Zealand.

Newly added are the Sega Mega Drive games, Altered Beast, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, and Sonic the Hedgehog. The two Super Nintendo offerings are Donkey Kong Country, which has not yet been released in the US, and F-Zero. Finally, Super Mario 64 is now the single worldwide representative Nintendo 64 game.

The five TurboGrafx games, Bomberman '93, Bonk's Adventure, Dungeon Explorer, Super Star Soldier, and Victory Run, are now available in all European countries.

Most games are rated by PEGI as 3+ in Europe and have an OFLC rating of G in Australia. Altered Beast has a 7+ and a PG rating in Europe and Australia, respectively, due to mild violent content. Likewise, Golden Axe has garnered 12+ and PG ratings. The Legend of Zelda and Super Star Soldier are also rated 7+, and Dungeon Explorer is rated 12+ in Europe, again due to mild violent content.

No official schedule has been announced for the remaining fifteen titles originally scheduled for release this year.

Good to hear, the previous selection was downright pathetic.
