Even more games are in the pipeline for Japan.

Nintendo has posted their Virtual Console release list for December. Besides the 38 launch games, new games will be made available every Tuesday (or Wednesday for PC Engine titles). 12 more games are scheduled for December. The full list follows below.

In addition, Nintendo and Hudson are making Virtual Console game manuals available online. Japanese Nintendo manuals are linked from games in their release list. Hudson has a dedicated site with manuals available in both English and Japanese.

I will definitely get Contra III: The Alien Wars when it comes to the states. I have been meaning to get it for my SNES for some time now.

CericDecember 02, 2006

Do we have a list like that for the States?

wtf, Contra, Fire Emblem, and R-Type. I wish i was in Japan, heck they even have Street Fighter II already....

This is getting ridiculous. I know we'll get many of these games *eventually* but for the floodgates to be opened so rapidly for the Japanese VC is kinda insulting. Maybe Nintendo doesn't want the old games competing with new Wii offerings? Lord knows I've been playing Super Star Soldier more than any Wii game.

I wonder why it's taking so long to get more N64 games out there.

KDR_11kDecember 03, 2006

NCL, NOA and NOE have different strategies for the VC it seems. For NCL it's to throw everything they have on there, for NOA it's strategic releases of the important games and for NOE it's just ignoring and hoping that makes it go away.
