Seriously this makes me want to track down all the original games and play them till my eyes bleed and my hands form one giant blister.

.......I'm still hoping for some fancy Zelda TP gift.

Bartman3010October 24, 2006

I got my Castlevania pre-order at Game Crazy.

CericOctober 24, 2006

You'll get a Disc, an Instruction Manual, a Safety Warning, Case, and get this Some extra advertisement. They aren't going to give anything for TP Pre-orders. In fact they could give it to you as just the game in a paper sleeve and charge an extra ten bucks for the Deluxe which is the same as any other Wii game. I don't think anyone needs incentive for TP so we won't get any.

Two things. One, the same could be said for most Zelda games, but there was still a preorder bonus for Wind Waker. You might argue that Wind Waker needed some incentives because of the "Celda" controversy, but compare that to the right-handed Link and two version controversies we've got now.

Two, this particular bonus is only available at certain retailers. It's not just an incentive to buy the game. It's an incentive to buy the game from Gamestop or its sister stores. This sort of deal is actually more likely for highly anticipated games. It works, too. I rarely go to the local EB Games, but I'll probably preorder this game there unless I can get this bonus online. Either way, they'll be getting my money instead of Best Buy, Target, or whoever.

If there is any news about a Zelda preorder campaign, expect it to come next week.

PaleMike Gamin, Contributing EditorOctober 24, 2006

Well this game is officially preordered by me. I just put my card info in at ebgames.com.

This is the first Castlevania game I've every purchased.

BloodworthDaniel Bloodworth, Staff AlumnusOctober 24, 2006

Same here. I could not resist that lovely package of swag.

Smash_BrotherOctober 24, 2006

I was just about to move my PoR preorder to CoM when I read this.

I guess I'll be keeping it after all.

KDR_11kOctober 24, 2006

I want it but I have a feeling Europe will only get the game itself.

UniversalJuanOctober 24, 2006

KDR, just how bad do you want it?

vuduOctober 24, 2006

Even I had to preorder this.

I asked the EB Games guy what he knew about the preorder. Here's what he told me.

I'm a moron and I don't know anything about anything especially anything you'd care to know.
Note: Those may not be his exact words.

Ya know, I don't really think this 20th Anniversary set is meant for you. Maybe you should give it to someone who actually appreciated Castlevania. Just a thought.

Also, for anyone who cares, it seems the price has dropped down to the normal $34.99 (it was listed at $39.99 a couple days ago).

I'm pretty sure the Celda controversy was far, far worse. I knew someone who was planning on getting a Cube....until he saw the Celda video on ign. He got a PS2 instead.

(Oh, before you say anything bad, Wind Waker did turn him around eventually.)

UniversalJuanOctober 24, 2006

Heh, here's hoping KDR replies to meh soon

KDR_11kOctober 25, 2006

Not bad enough to sell my soul, if that's what you mean.

UniversalJuanOctober 25, 2006

Come now, simple question. I need to gauge if it will be worth me sending it off in the mail face-icon-small-wink.gif

KDR_11kOctober 25, 2006

Sending stuff across the atlantic can get very complicated, you don't need to do that.

UniversalJuanOctober 25, 2006

Wuoldn't be the first time I've internationally shipped. Just say the word KDR, and if you want this thing bad enough I'll send ya mine (Obviously when it releases ;x)

Nick DiMolaNick DiMola, Staff AlumnusOctober 26, 2006

Well I guess I'll pre-order this online, hopefully I don't get gyped ... again. Last 2 times I preordered online with Gamestop I got nothing. 4 Swords was supposed to come with a T-Shirt, never got it and Viewtiful Joe was supposed to come with a Bobblehead, never got it. I really want this swag, and I will be really pissed if I don't get it.

If this is your first Castlevania, prepare to get addicted. I played the last Castlevania DS and went out and bought every single GBA Castlevania and Symphony of the Night on the Playstation.
