UBISOFT’S TROLLZ: HAIR AFFAIR FOR GAME BOY ADVANCE SHIPS TO RETAIL

The Hot and Fashionable Trollz Are the Stars of Their Very Own Video Game for “Tween” Girls

SAN FRANCISCO – NOVEMBER 1, 2005 – Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced that Trollz: Hair Affair for Nintendo Game Boy Advance has shipped to retail stores and will be hitting shelves this week. Trollz: Hair Affair features the Trollz and their world of fashion, friendship and magic in an action/puzzle game with fun, arcade-style gameplay. Trollz: Hair Affair is rated “E” for Everyone with an MSRP of $29.99. Trollz: Hair Affair is based on DIC Entertainment’s Trollz animated property and licensed properties with Scholastic books, Hasbro dolls and Warner Home Videos direct-to-video movies.

In Trollz: Hair Affair, players must help Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz and Onyx rescue the cool freshmen Trollz boys who have been falsely accused of cheating. The Trollz must save the boys from being sent to military school, where their hair will be shaved off! Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz and Onyx must go back in time to change events in order to rescue the boys from their disastrous fate. The Trollz must use their magical talents before it’s too late.

“Trollz: Hair Affair is going to be on every girl’s wish list this holiday season,” said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. “Tween girls won’t be able to resist a game with flying, fashion, dancing and magic all of which make this game so fun to play!”

Key Features:

  • Play a different game for each Trollz girl: Go flying with Amethyst, play memory matching with Sapphire, shoot spell beads with Onyx, match dance moves with Ruby and untangle hair patterns with Topaz.

  • It’s a game and a toy: In addition to the five game types, players will interact with the Trollz in noncompetitive ways. Players can use the outfitter to customize their Trollz with a variety of shoes, tops and pants, which can be unlocked while playing the game.

  • Great replay value: Mini-games are included for individual play and fun. The game types are designed to be played in a variety of ways and multiple times.

  • BFFL! – Best Friends for Life cooperative gameplay: When players earn “power-ups” from their Trollz friends, they can use them at any time to get a boost, getting one step closer to rescuing the boys.

  • Unlockable dance moves and special tunes: Players can unlock all the girls to dance in Ruby’s Dancing Game. Each girl has realistic movement in her special dance moves with her very own stereo dance tunes.

  • Earn “Trollars” to spend on the Trollz website: Success in certain game levels will yield a special code for “Trollars” (Trollz dollars) that can be entered on the Trollz website and used at the Trollz mall.
