A cable adaptor, an exclusive link cable, and a special wireless adaptor.

Nintendo of Japan has updated their GB Micro page with information about the link cable accessories for the new Game Boy model.

Because of the dramatically smaller size of the Micro, a new port was included on the top of the unit. This means that all previous link cables and charger units from the Game Boy Advance era will not work with the GB Micro without a special adaptor.

That adaptor, called the GB Micro Conversion Connector, will retail for ¥800 (about $7). The dongle allows for standard GBA link cables to be used with the Micro.

There will also be a custom link cable exclusively for the GB Micro line. The Micro Link Cable will retail for ¥1,400 ($13), and works just like the regular GBA cables, except that they only work on the Micro.

Finally, a special wireless adaptor has been created specifically for the GB Micro. Going for ¥2,000 ($18), the adaptor can communicate with other GB Micro or GBA systems that also have the wireless doohickey and a wireless-compatible game, such as Pokémon Fire Red or Leaf Green.

Accessory prices for the North American market haven't been announced yet, but chances are they'll be pretty close to the Japanese figures. We'll let you know when we hear about it officially.

That wasn't very nice of them to sell the conversion connector separate! Oh well, I'll be purchasing the Micro for purely single-player travel anyway...

... Erm... whats with the wireless thingamajig? I thought the wireless doohickey was included in (built in) the Micro already, hence the extra price over SP.
