Is it better than the US song list? Yes. But let's face it, that's not too hard, is it?

Nintendo Europe has revealed the song list for the PAL version of the upcoming bongo beating game, Donkey Konga 2. And what's this? Video game soundtracks? Get outta town! Latin themes for a game based around bongos? Don't be silly! NOE also appears to have toned down the Good Charlotte to a tolerable single track.

Here's the track list. Have fun:

  • Losing My Religion

  • Are You Ready For Love?

  • Trouble

This isn't fair, why didn't we get those Nintendo songs. I would not mind if all Donkey Konga had were videogame songs and we only got one on part two which really disapointed me. I wonder though if there will be a NA part 3.

Finally! I was getting worried we'd just get the same songs as the crappy US one.

    MUTE CITY!!! YES!

This still has a lot of crap... but there's enough decent songs there. Those "rock" songs are a joke.

When the US version said "I don't wanna know" I was hoping for mario winans(sp?).

Hooray! It is going to make it Down Under! I got my PC-gaming friends hooked on Donkey Konga a while ago. It was a blast to play in the early hours of the morning (even if there was only 1 set of bongos). Best $40 ever spent!

'Losing My Religion', 'Drive' and 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' get the thumbs up from me, and Allstar. Now to figure out a way to get more bongos between now and when they release this...

(Correct me if I'm wrong, but 'Predictable' and 'I Just Wanna Live' are both Good Charlotte songs from what I can remember.)

Well it looks like I'm going to have to buy it. I was scared we were going to get the crappy pop version the US did. I still think they should have considered releasing versions with specific kinds of music, such as one dedicated to Kondo etc, but overall I'm happy with this song list. I don't enjoy 'pop' or 'rock' music (I mean the newer pop-rock stuff) much at all, but the rest of them sound good to me.

    R.E.M? FIST
    Pumping on your Stereo? FIST

It almost makes me ignore the Britney Spears.

But really if they want to include a song with a beat. No song has a more shi† kicking beat the "My Robot Friend" by Regurgitator. That'd be nuts!

    Infernal MonkeyMay 28, 2005

Mute City? Seems I'll have to pre-order this with gusto.

    joshnickersonMay 28, 2005

Guess I'll be importing this... now I just gotta find out WHERE I can import it from...
So I'll have the US DK1, the Europe DK2 and the Japanese DK3... interesting.... *L*

I tracklisting looks better then no.1
but still is a bit boring
im glad they removed Good Charlotte tracks...
rock songs on donkey konga 1 didnt fit...
glad to see disco and more great classical tracks (they should have more since there cheap to licence)

    Kamek_XMay 29, 2005

I recently played Donkey Konga 2 and I must say I like it better than the first. I plan to buy it soon too! Yeah it would be nice to have videogame music remixes but I wouldnt go as far as importing it. Come on Its just Donkey Konga! If lack of videogame tunes does reach Nintendo perhaps they'll release Donkey Konga 3 with more of what we want. Like I said before Metroid Techno would be nice.

Pffft, 'Don't Stop Me Now' and 'The Impression That I Get' are my favourite tracks from DK1. I should bust it out and comment some more, but they fit a lot better than some of the tracks, like 'Back For Good'.

NO TECHNO KTHX. La Cucaracha is where its at. Bring it on!

There's really no where to say this, so I'll say it here. There should be a mode where a song plays and you just bang around on the bongos, doing your thing, and it remembers what you do so you can go back later and play the song, now complete with the red, yellow, and pink circles that you just put there. I've wanted "create" modes in every rythem game I've played. Then NO ONE can complain about the difficulty, since you can determine it yourself.

    MarioMay 30, 2005

Yeah, and I want a mode where I can play around with the different bongo sound effects, and make my own song consisting of ONLY bongo sound effects, without having to listen to a song in the background, and no time limit, and no pre-set patterns, and no score, and and
