EA ANNOUNCES IN-GAME SOUNDTRACKS FOR FIFA STREET, AND EA SPORTS FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 2

Chertsey, UK - 24th February, 2005 - Electronic Arts today revealed the hard-hitting in-game song lists for FIFA Street and EA SPORTSTM FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 2 that will herald in the sound of football and boxing this Spring. EA SPORTSTM continues to push the musical envelope with cutting-edge tracks from breaking bands Hot Hot Heat, Louis XIV, the Bravery and hip hop artists such as Fabolous, Yung Wun and Pit Bull among others. Each song has been hand-selected by EATM TRAX - the ground-breaking music initiative that EA debuted in 2001 - to fit with the adrenaline-pumping action of its sport.

"These games have a lot of attitude and so do their music soundtracks," said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music at EA. "Again this season, EA SPORTS is a destination for musical discovery, where you can find the hottest new acts that will be required listening for all sports fans this year."

Let your skills reign supreme in the ultimate combination of arcade action blended with the culture of freestyle street football in EA SPORTS BIGTM FIFA Street. By removing the rules from the simulation football experience, FIFA Street exposes the heart of the world's beautiful game, on-the-ball flare and individual style. Breaking away from the stadiums and rules of the modern game, players take it to the street, playing in ten distinctive street locations from around the world. From the Favelas of Brazil to the urban courts of Amsterdam, players will experience the flavor - and sound - of football from around the globe. The in-game soundtrack pumps up the energy on the pitch with brand new music from Timo Maas, Fatboy Slim, Dizzee Rascal and Roni Size.

Talkback

I recognize only one band out of those and it's one I don't like. Guess this is a game anyone without an XBox and loads of MP3s should avoid, eh?

FamicomFebruary 24, 2005

FIFA Street? It should be avoided no matter what system you have.

EA Puts way too much emphisis on "we have someone else's music". I hate the way they have that pop-up that tells you what song is playing. It gets in the way.
