We have a few dominant teams, but will they stay dominant?

TNT (0-2) vs. Forums (0-2)

TNT got beat by the Famicast last week a little worse than it appeared. They only earned a match win by a forfeit. They are a desperate team now, with no victories to their credit. Luckily, they're playing what is clearly the worst team in the entire tournament: Forums. Let me remind you that Donald from the Forums lost a match by playing as Shulk and back-slashing off of the side of the stage. That's what TNT is up against. I think Carmine from the Forums will finally breakthrough and earn a victory for himself, but J.P. and Donald will continue their futility.

Neal's Prediction: TNT wins 2-1

Famicast (1-1) vs. PGC (2-0)

PGC looked like the most dominant team in week one and while Mousers have definitely taken the crown of "scariest team to face," PGC is still a force to be reckoned with. Former NWR Director Steven "WindyMan" Rodriguez is likely the second-best player in the entire league. TYP is also likely in the top five. I think that Famicast, even with the loss of Ty Shughart (the lag was too much for him so he left the team), will put up a fight. Still, Windy and TYP are too good.

Neal's Prediction: PGC wins 2-1

RFN (1-1) vs. Mousers (2-0)

If RFN had this match at home, I think I'd pick them to pull off the upset. However, on the likely itemless home court of the Mousers, I think the Justin Berube-led team will sweep Team RFN. Berube has so far not even lost a stock in the tournament, and while that might change this week, I think he leads another dominant effort by Mousers. The only way RFN gets a point here is if Nick Bray matches up against James Jones.

Neal's Prediction: Mousers win 3-0

SWAN (0-2) vs. Newscast (2-0)

Newscast is undefeated, but they somehow are in third place overall thanks to more dominant performances from PGC and Mousers. I think that'll put a chip on this team's shoulders. While I could see Daan coming away with a win if he's up against Nathan, I don't think Andy and Zach will lose in this match. SWAN's a team that's just been dealt a tough schedule. I could see them pulling off an upset in the playoffs, but with this and a match against team Mousers on the horizon next week, SWAN might go winless through the regular season.

Neal's Prediction: Newscast wins 2-1

I'm so into this. Much love to Scott, Neal, and Jared for putting in a TON of work to organize, host, and edit this tournament.

I don't know when Neal is writing these, but the matches themselves are not fixed, I assure you.

Yup.

I've said it before but I write the predictions right after we record the commentary for the previous week. I just hold back from posting them until after the previous week's videos have been up for a few days.
