Even more retail Wii U games to look forward to.

Xenoblade Chronicles X
Preview: Xenoblade Chronicles X: Making the Best Better
The original Xenoblade Chronicles is not only one of best role-playing games on Wii, it’s easily one of the very best JRPGs of the past decade. As such, it goes without saying that when Monolith Software revealed it was working on a sequel, Nintendo fans were beside themselves with excitement. Just like its predecessor, Xenoblade Chronicles X promises to push Nintendo’s hardware to its limits by giving gamers massive environments to explore, each of which is wildly different and teaming with life. Could this be reason alone for RPG-lovers to purchase a Wii U in 2015? I think so.
Project Guard

Video: Project Guard Gameplay Footage
Part of Miyamoto’s experimentation in unique Wii U experiences, Project Guard is an interesting twist on tower defense. It is, for lack of a better term, a security camera simulator. Several camera’s are placed around a maze like fortress. The player sees one camera at a time on the GamePad, meanwhile all of the cameras are displayed on the TV. The player must therefore split his or her attention between fighting off invading robots on the GamePad, and keeping track of them on the TV.
It should also be noted that the Star Fox team’s insignia can be seen on the security cameras in the game. Could project guard wind up being part of Miyamoto’s new Star Fox game?

Preview: Star Fox (Wii U): Justifying the Wii U GamePad
Star Fox is finally coming back to home consoles later this year. Sadly, not much is currently known about the title, but Miyamoto has been toying with different control schemes using the GamePad. Hopefully this will be the Star Fox game we've all been waiting for.

Editorial: Speculative Answers to the Questions of The Legend of Zelda Wi U
While we’ve only seen a short snippet of gameplay and still don’t yet have a proper title, The Legend of Zelda (Wii U) is easily the biggest and most important game coming to Nintendo’s home console this year. When series producer Eiji Aonuma and legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto showed off the game at The Game Awards 2014, the world got its first look at the massive open world that Link will be able to explore. Having the ability to set waypoints and allowing Epona to handle traversal will certainly come it handy, and serves as a testament to Nintendo’s willingness to modernize the franchise and take it in some new and interesting directions. Plus, Link can now jump off Epona in slow motion allowing the player to target enemies with their bow in bullet-time fashion. And don’t even get me started on the art style. The incredible blend of Skyward Sword and The Wind Waker is awe-inspiring.
Devil's Third
Devil’s Third is a combination of a character action game and a first person shooter. The game features both an action packed single player campaign and an intense online multiplayer mode. It’s been in development for quite some time, never quite managing to find a home on any console. It was originally announced by THQ who also published Darksiders II. After THQ’s closure in 2013, the game floated in limbo. Since being picked up by Nintendo it is now a Wii U exclusive.
Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem
We first learned about Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem during a Nintendo Direct two years ago when the game was teased with a simple logo. We haven't heard much since, but Intelligent Systems did confirm that the game was still in development at E3 2014. It's unlikely that the title will remain hidden from the public eye throughout the year.
