Professor Layton chocolates invade Japan!

As we reported last month, Level-5 and Japanese confectionery company, Glico, teamed up to bring Professor Layton themed chocolates to stores all around Japan. The chocolates come in two flavors, tea chiffon cake and gateau chocolate and retail for around 200 yen per box. Each package comes with one of ten special puzzle cards and special passwords that can be used to unlock special puzzles in the upcoming Layton Kyouju to Chou Bunmei A (Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies) for Nintendo 3DS. I managed to hunt down the gateau chocolate version of these snacks and I must say, they’re pretty tasty and have some cool artwork on the packaging! Oh, and don't make the mistake of thinking the QR code is going to give you something awesome. If you scan it, you will simply just be directed to the official Japanese Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies website. For those of you outside of Japan, checking out the photos below might be the closest you come to enjoying Layton chocolates!
