With all the fantastic contest entries we received, it was hard to choose a winner, but three commercials rose above and set a higher standard. All three are highly creative, and they represent the great latitude in style and format that our participants took advantage of. On to the winners...

First Prize Winner: Yann Duminil

Download Yann's Commercial (700 KB, Flash format - open with your Internet browser)

Yann's beautiful Flash animation turned our heads, and we loved the idea of showing little GameCube-people working behind the scenes to run the website. This entry scored a lot of bonus points for originality and slick presentation. We're very excited to be using it to promote PGC up through E3.

Second Prize Winner: Marc Duddleson

Download Marc's Commercial (21 MB, Windows Media format)

Although some of us weren't crazy about Marc's narration, his brilliant editing helped make this one of the most professional-looking entries we received. We loved the way he used Nintendo's characters to interact with the website, like Pikmin carrying screenshots. This one also ends on an exciting note, hyping you up for our E3 2004 coverage.

Third Place Winner: John Vicencio

Download John's Commercial (7 MB, AVI/DivX format)

John's entry may not have been the prettiest or most exciting, but we were overwhelmed with his use of the Game Boy Camera to film the entire thing in stop-motion. It's a cool idea that was executed very smoothly, and the little skit itself is just too cute to resist. Again, this entry stood out for its sheer originality, and the fact that it is well produced helped too.

These talented artisans will be receiving their respective prize packages in the next week or so. Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to everyone who spent time and effort on creating an entry. We loved watching them all!

Finally, thanks again to our sponsors, who have provided such great prizes for this contest:
