Robin and Zelda Williams return for a look at Link's latest console adventure.

The latest ad in the Zelda 25th anniversary campaign has been officially revealed, this time focusing on The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Robin and Zelda Williams star once again in the ad as they exchange playful commentary while further displaying the game's 1:1 Motion controls. Like previous ads in the series, this one is mainly for Europe.

The full television ad is as follows:

Here in the US the Ads are stuck in the 80's.
In Europe the Ads have a somebody and his daughter in modern looking ad that would appeal to a family.

The Zelda and Robin Williams ads would be perfect for the US market.

The latest US ad features a British voice-over. The latest European ad features Americans. Not sure what's going on.

I don't understand why they think a ad with Robin Williams wouldn't be good here in the U.S.  If I never played or heard of The LoZ series than this ad would instantly make me buy it.

Ah, I love this cute commercials.

The only reason I can think of these ads not appearing on US TV is that it wasn't agreed upon in the commercial's contract. Either someone (actors, actors' agents, ad agency) didn't want them to appear in the US or they wanted more money than Nintendo wanted to spend.

I find that reasoning hard to believe since the Williams seem to really love the series and wouldn't mind taking in less pay.

Could be that Robin Williams doesn't want to alter his image here. You used to be able to, and probably still can, find ads featuring famous Hollywood types from other countries when they'd never done one here. Hard to demand a giant studio fee when you're moonlighting for Madison ave.

If you want a more regular dose of Zelda (Williams), follow her on Twitter. Wish these ads were used in U.S., though the contract stipulations probably are the reason why...

Yeah, I'm sure NOA would love to air these commercials...they'd probably pay for them too, but this feels like Robin Williams (or his agent) saying no.  Too bad, because they make this game look really, really fun.  Especially when Robin is taking out those orc-things with the bow.  Sweet.

Probably but, the ads there doing instead are well... already look retro from the 80's.  They don't really show the game at all.  About the only thing they do is say "Hey, Zelda's Here."  They do nothing to entice someone who isn't a Zelda fan already and in this day and age a Zelda fan would surely already know.

Wake up call commercials in this day and age for Video games is a show of a marketing department that doesn't get that we have the Internet and its everywhere now.  A commercial should reinforce that I want to buy this game while also having a hook to get someone who isn't going to already buy the game or thinking of someone who might be interested to know.

The Old Man and the Sea beard is gone...

Behind the times. Zelda beat him in Four Swords and he had to shave it.

Stunt beard.
