Blockbuster UK Hints at Wii U Games?

The video rental chain lists 25 games on their computer system.

Blockbuster UK's computer stock listing has apparently revealed 25 Wii U games, some of which were already announced. A reader at GoNintendo supplied photos of his workstation monitor compiling the following list:

Aliens: Colonial Marines
Assassin's Creed
Batman Arkham City
Darksiders II
Dirt 3
Formula 1 All Stars
Game Party
Ghost Recon Online
Just Dance 4
Killer Freaks From Outer Space
Marvel Super Heroes
Metro Last Light
Monsters Party
New Super Mario Brothers Mii
Ninja Gaiden 3
Pikmin
Rabbids Party Land
Raving Rabbids
Rayman Legends
Shield Pose
Splinter Cell 6
Sports Connection
Tekken
Your Shape 2013
Zombie

There is also a listing for a white Wii U console in the system. Whether this is an accidental leak of sensitive information or another case of an overenthusiastic retailer fabricating information in anticipation of their upcoming stock is yet to be seen.

A poster on NeoGAF claiming he was an ex-employee of Blockbuster supported the notion of the list not being entirely true. He said "All of the Wii U games on the system are entirely speculated by the sales team, and are there purely as placeholders."

We've previously seen similar gun-jumping, such as when EB Games listed a release date for the new Smash Bros. title on their store shelves, so this list must be taken with a sizable grain of salt.

We'll update you on the situation as soon as more information is revealed.

I am glad you aren't claiming it's a "launch" list like GoNintendo is considering that at least one of the games is confirmed as a 2013 release (Metro). The list seems fishy at best to me, though I wouldn't be surprised to see most of those on Wii U.

I think it's just a speculative list that retailers occasionally do. It's full of stuff we know or has been implied, but it also contains obvious junk like Shield Pose, which won't be a full game by itself.

Looks like an eager employee spent twenty minutes searching online for Wii U games, and this is what he or she came up with. Really, a game called just Zombie?

Rabbids and Splinter Cell 6.

It is assured that Ubi Soft will have a bunch of games for the launch window, especially given past video game hardware launches such as the Kinect, 3DS, and Vita.

A new Splinter Cell game tailored for the Wii U is a game I would be interested in seeing a lot of.

Zombie = Resident Evil 6 Wii U.

No. There's no way that's correct.

Ultimate Alliance: Ultimate Collection.  A seamless combination of 1 and 2 with linking chapters.  Yes, oh yes :D Probably not

I would get excited by this but i can't given Blockbuster's sudden return to gaming after having sold Gamestation to Game (followed by its subsequent collapse).

Awww shit! ;D  Tekken! I hope it's Tag 2.

Hey, what happened to Lego City Stories?  Admittedly, recent Lego games haven't been as good as the Star Wars ones, but it's one of those things they mentioned last year that I wanted to hear more about this year.

Yes, yes, I know.  Just a list put together by a bored Blockbuster employee.
