I'd like to apologize for our preemptive criticism of NOA PR before the actual anniversary. It is a tad unfair...

Also we never gave the answer to the Q for game 5. I can't post spoilered text on my phone...

EDIT: The answer was thinking of originally is Hector's Story. However, there is also a multiplayer mode.

NOA has a few more months because the Game Boy did not come to the US until August.

Great episode, guys.  The last game threw me off for reasons that will probably be clear to anyone who has listened.  Not sure if that was fair, but the music was nice, so screw it.

5 games isn't really enough to cover the GB portfolio in its entirity. I'm glad you discussed why it survived when so many other systems failed though. I recall back in the early 90's I read an articale in Zillions (a Kids' spin-off of Consumer Reports) where they compared the Game Boy, Game Gear, Tubo Express and Lynx, and somehow came to the conclusion that Game Boy wasn't the one to buy (I guess they didn't figure in battery life).

I actually think the iPhone/Touch may be the true adversary to the DS, though I have yet to buy any games for mine.

Also I was thinking-maybe you guys could do a Wizard retrospective later this year for the 20th anniversary of that (then again, maybe I'm biased because I helped get it on DVD).

I really did want to do more to cover the Game Boy.  More games would have been nice, but it would have taken considerably longer to really cover the system, it's bredth and depth of content, and really dig into the impact of the system on Nintendo, gamers, and the industry as a whole.

Maybe the next episode can be all GB too?

The most notable competitor that was not named is NeoGeo Pocket Color.

I loved the gameboy tribute episode. Radio Trivia has some great theme episodes, and this one is probably the best one thanks to the discussions in between songs.

I don't know why I'm having such difficulty recording radio trivia lately. I have the first half of the next week off, so I'll at LEAST get a TYP short up soon. I really don't how irregular the podcast has been for the last two months :/
