The canine simulator market is getting ruff.
Pocket Dogs is an obscure little dog simulator from Japan that O~3 Entertainment has picked up for release in the United States. Although Nintendogs is the heavyweight in the dog simulator arena, Pocket Dogs looks to offer up its own brand of puppy play.
From what was seen on the show floor, Pocket Dogs is very much nothing more than a dog simulator. You choose your breed, and then your dog will appear on screen and talk to you about various things. An interesting note about the way the dogs are presented is that they are photographed in a wall-eye lens, which the publisher assures is some sort of Japanese photography phenomenon.
This game is set to release sooner than Nintendogs, so watch for it should you feel the need for a digital canine companion.
