Namco's plucky little yellow pill-muncher is gracing multiple platforms with Pac-Man World 2. Pac-Man is one of the staple video game characters that even precedes Mario. Although he resembles something of a pizza with a slice missing, Pac-Man's face and persona have adorned numerous amounts of merchandise. Even a spoofed song and a business technique have named after Pac-Man. Namco's mascot has become quite popular.

In his first outing on the Cube, Pac-Man must stop the Ghost Gang after they steal The Golden Fruit from Pac-Village. Without the magic of the Golden Fruit, Pac-Village is helpless against the attacks of the Ghosts.

Pac-Man World 2 offers classic gameplay with classic versions of the games, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Mania, and Pac-Attack in Sue's arcade, so you can relive old times and get a healthy dose of nostalgia. But the main part of Pac-Man World is the 3D quest. Some mazes reminiscent of the Pac-Man formula are there, and there are some open 3-dimensional areas to explore.

The beginning levels are purely instructional, while the later levels challenge the skills of even the most veteran Cube-Player. There are 6 worlds and more than 20 levels to conquer throughout the game itself.

Pac-Man World 2 looks to be a fun game in which to whittle your time away. Don't expect anything earth-shattering, but if you love Pac-Man, you should be waiting for this title with baited breath.
