BloodRayne

by Karlie Yeung - December 19, 2001, 3:20 pm EST

One of the more mature titles creeps up to GameCube.

BloodRayne is an action/horror title featuring the half-human, half-vampire Agent BloodRayne. She is the heroine born to fight supernatural evil. Super-sexy, super-lethal and super-natural, she is the most wicked woman to be found.

The game begins twenty years after the end of World War I. At that time a gang of Nazi criminal escapees made it to South America and proceeded to hunt the rumored strange creatures there. They indeed found what they needed to redeem their glory and spent the next twenty years creating the facilities to gather these terrible powers from an ancient temple.

The Nazi’s have dabbled with the dark side before in claim of success. They have discovered ancient lore which links three just as ancient artefacts that when brought together bring a power greater than ever before. Unknown to them, Working against the Nazis is an even older, deeper evil. The only person who can stop these forces and save the earth is Agent BloodRayne.

Armed her supernatural powers such as being lightning fast, extreme agility, enhanced vision, the ability to slow time and many more she will also attack with weapons of silver blades attached to her wrists which will be upgraded through the game. Being a vampire she will of course drink blood. Drinking enough living blood will put her into Bloodlust and then Bloodrage, states where she is more powerful and almost invincible. She will fight against frighteningly evil enemies who will behave intelligently and work together using your own tools against you.

This 3rd person action/horror title is fast, frantic and full of battle. The world around you is full of terror and you will have to fight through the fearful enemies you come across quickly and efficiently.
