LCD Filter Advance

Hori's LCD Filter Advance will simultaneously protect your eyes & your GBA screen but after you apply it, you won't know it's there.

If you've put long hours into game playing (and face it, you have) you'll often notice the unpleasant side effect of staring wide-eyed at a screen for hours, like your eyes starting to hurt. Japanese accessory company Hori have created a product that will prevent this, called "LCD Filter Advance."

The LCD Filter Advance is a sticky filter sheet, which is only 0.5 mm thick which helps relieve gamers' eyestrain during extended play sessions. The film also cuts down from light glare being reflected. It's easily applied to the GBA; once you do, it is so inconspicuous that you'll never notice it. This little covering is also perfect for those who want to protect their LCD screen from any light scratches or dings. The LCD Filter Advance is set to release alongside the GBA's Japanese launch on March 21st and will retail for 500 yen (about $5 U.S.). Whether or not this product makes it outside of Japan is unknown but it definitely sounds like a handy device!

(The current picture we have is a mock-up and subject to change, though reflects the basic idea/design of the LCD Filter Advance).
