Animal Crossing

Well, these are more like letters than your standard impressions, but Animal Crossing has lots of letter writing so consider this a warm-up.

To Amanda:

I've moved into Ireland and gotten a house. eq moved in next door, so there's still two houses left for you to pick from. Try to find Rover on the train: he'll hook you up with the guy selling the houses.

I've met everyone in town. Almost everyone is cool, but there's a hippo who's kind of rude. Our neighbor, Ozzie is a neat old music teacher. He's a Koala and is always calling me an ol' bear.

I had a job in the shop here, but the owner ran out of work for me pretty quickly so I'm stuck doing favors for people and selling rare seashells.

Oh! I took a boat to ManO'War Island. Cool place. I got a red aloha outfit there that I like. There's some girl that lives there, but she was asleep already when I got there. Well, I might talk to you tonight. I hope you move to Ireland soon!

Well, I got to town late last night, so there wasn't a whole lot for me to do. I got over to Mr. Nook's shop just before it closed and got a bug-catching net. I've gotten several crickets, a pill bug, a butterfly and a dragonfly so far and donated them all to the museum.

I saw Ace by the wishing well and when he saw that I had a pine cricket, he got very excited and traded me for a new outfit - deep blue tee.

Bitty, the hippo I mentioned yesterday, seems to have taken more of a liking to me - perhaps too much of one @_@. But she's one of the few people that's still awake late at night, so I've been dropping by and talking to her a lot.

I stopped by the Able Sisters' and made my first design. It's not easy to describe - it's a series of black, purple and green concentric circles. Anyhow, I named it Strange Ripple, and posted it on my door, my umbrella, and the flag on ManO'War Island.

South of Nook's Cranny, I met a new villager who moved in. I guess she's a cat, but her head looks like an orange or something and her name is Tangy. I checked out her house and EVERYTHING looks like fruit. Not only that, but she's bugging me for apples. It took me a while to find someone that had some, but this morning a friend in Arcadia shipped me some in return for pears. Unfortunately, since he's in another time zone, I haven't been able to receive them because the shop here wasn't open yet when I talked to him. Oh well...live and learn I guess.

P.S. I forgot to mention something really cool that happened last night. I shook a tree near my house, and a Flying Saucer fell out. I've got it sitting in my room now, but it's taking up a lot of space.

I decided to shake up a few more trees and got a little cash, but one of them had a beehive. I naively attempted to catch the bees with my net, and I got stung. Everyone I talked to for the rest of the night laughed at my swollen face. Gah!
