Bust ghosts alongside Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson as the fifth rookie ghostbuster.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game for Wii will continue the Ghostbusters story line from the second movie. Yet again New York is over run by ghosts, and you are enlisted as an experimental equipment tech, the fifth rookie ghostbuster.
The game is supported by the vocal talents of much of the original cast including Bill Murray (Peter Venkman), Dan Akroyd (Ray Stantz), Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler), Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore), Annie Potts (Janine Melnitz), and William Atherton (Walter Peck). The storyboard and ideas are all concocted by Ramis and Akroyd, giving the true feel of the originals.
Naturally, the game will focus on ghost hunting and capturing and will feature upgradeable gadgets, wrangling and trapping maneuvers, and varying proton pack streams. The blast stream can be used to weaken ghosts to a state where they can be captured and the capture stream can finish the deed, pulling ghosts into the trap. Players will also be able to use the brand new Slime Tether and Stasis Stream as well as the returning P.K.E. Meter and Paragoggles.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game is releasing for Wii this fall with an expected ESRB rating of E10+.
