Mickey's classic SNES side-scroller makes a return on the Game Boy Advance!
“The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse" was a classic SNES side-scrolling game from Capcom. It’s now being remade for the Game Boy Advance.
Pete has kidnapped Pluto, Mickey’s loveable pooch. Mickey (now with the help of Minnie) has gone out to rescue him. On the way he’ll have to fight enemies and maneuver through tricky levels. He’ll also have the help of three costumes. Mickey can don a magician’s costume, a firefighter outfit, and mountain climbing gear. He’ll need the help of the powers these suits grant to make it through the journey to rescue Pluto. His quest will take him through a grassy area, a magical forest, a fire-filled cavern, mountains, an icy area, and Pete’s castle.
“The Magical Quest Starring Mickey & Minnie" has been announced but currently has no official release date. Though it should be out at the end of the year, because it was featured as the Nintendo Media Briefing prior to E3. New additions to the game include the ability to play as Minnie and a multiplayer element. It is not currently known how many players can play in multiplayer or if each player will require a cartridge. Magical Quest will also interact with the forthcoming Mickey game for the GameCube, "Magical Mirror."
