ACADEMY OF INTERACTIVE ARTS AND SCIENCES NAMES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Former Director of Industry Development, Gordon P. Bellamy, Promoted to Lead Key Force in Interactive Entertainment


LOS ANGELES, Calif.--Nov. 3, 2003--The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS), today announced that Gordon P. Bellamy, former AIAS Director of Industry Development, has been promoted to Executive Director of the organization. Bellamy will oversee the day-to-day operations and be key in advancing the visibility of the Academy, which is the official professional academy of the $7+ billion entertainment software industry.


"Gordon is at once a businessman and a gamer, who has a keen and insightful eye for the future of interactive entertainment," said Ted Price, Chairman of the AIAS Board of Directors. A graduate of Harvard College with a degree in engineering, Bellamy brings ten years of interactive entertainment experience to the position. In addition to AIAS, Bellamy has played key business and product development roles at Electronic Arts, where he was named the company's Rookie of the Year for his work on the best-selling Madden Football franchise, THQ, and Activision subsidiary Z-Axis.


Bellamy fills the vacancy created when Paul Provenzano resigned

earlier this month.
