Could it be Zebras in the ring with Elephants? Huh? I'm sorry...WWF? Oh yeah, were talking about the World Wildlife Fund. All the furry goodness inside.

Graphic State secures World Wildlife Fund deal

Leamington-based developer uses animal attraction?

Ambitious video game developer Graphic State has announced it has secured the worldwide rights to the WWF, and is to produce a series of related titles for Game Boy Advance, Nintendo Game Cube, PC and mobile phones.

The Leamington-based team has signed a three-year deal to produce games based on the WWF - arguably one of the most recognised brands in the world. The games will be produced in close co-operation with the organisation and designed to emphasise the caring, responsible and credible work the WWF provides. Graphic State will also be looking to maximise opportunities to tie-in with WWF-related school programmes.

The WWF was founded in 1961 and is renowned for its global protection of countless animal species. As such, the games will offer a welcome move into more family-friendly titles, with stunning visuals combined with gameplay all the family can enjoy and learn from. Graphic State's WWF titles will be heavily branded with the instantly recognisable Panda logo, and the developer is currently looking to secure a publishing deal for the assorted versions of the game.

"There cannot be a more recognisable logo than the WWF's Panda, while the organisation's work across the planet has established them as a genuine humanitarian cause," said Richard Whittall, Creative Director for Graphic State. "Our games will reflect the good work they do while offering strong entertainment for the whole family. The games will all boast cutting edge design, devised in conjunction with the WWF, with the aim being to entertain and inform."
