This week Jon returns to the fold and he kicks us off by trying to sell you a copy of Diablo III, soon for Switch. We're not sure he's completely free of ties to Activision Blizzard, so consider this the requisite disclosure. Greg is digging deep into the backlog with Space Invaders Extreme Z from the DSiWare service. What's Taito doing with the iconic aliens these days? Probably pachislots. Guillaume is getting into the Halloween Spirit with two horror games: ZombiU and Lone Survivor. James closes out New Business with his final thoughts on Hollow Knight. He's still not a fan, even if he can recognize what the game does well.

After the break we knock out some Listener Mail. This week we: love bad games, get deep into Lego lore, and work Yasunori Mitsuda to death. You can ask us to spare your favorite composer from our Rockstar-like work regime by sending us an email.

Another week and yet another piece of Episode 600 falls into place. For those of you who missed our last updates, we'll be doing a RetroActive on Super Punch-Out!! as part of our 600th show. Not only that, we'll be recording the show live on Saturday, Dec 1st. The start time is still to be determined, but expect it in the early afternoon Eastern time. If you can't make it, or can't wait to start talking Punch-Out!!, you can hit up our Talkback thread here.

This episode was edited by Guillaume Veillette. The "Men of Leisure" theme song was produced exclusively for Radio Free Nintendo by Perry Burkum. Hear more at Perry's SoundCloud. The Radio Free Nintendo logo was produced by Connor Strickland. See more of his work at his website.

This episode's ending music is Different Persons, from Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. It was selected by Greg. All rights reserved by Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd.

I kind of wish I had gotten my DSi XL earlier just to snag the DSiware games that can't be brought to the 3DS.

Hollow Knight. Me and my friend bought and played at same time, after it went on special. We are both old school gamers and have played all the Metroids, Zero Mission is one of our fave games of all time.

We both ADORED Hollow Knight. Just adored it. After the 2nd area, after you beat a certain boss you are effectively free to go where-ever (or however brave enough) you are!

We both had completely different play experiences, me taking the cautious and path and charms, him forging ahead into really distant areas (Yes, Deepnest was one) long before me and we both had such an incredible experience, comparing progress, charms and funny things that we had seen.

We both thought this was easily our #1 game of the year.

After so many linear and guided experiences, Hollow was just fantastic. There is no right way to go. you just go where you want an d if you are brave enough :-)

We both got the true ending and sunk 60 hour into it.

I thought the game was beautiful, the music and imagery in City of Tears is.. oh man, it's just beautiful.

I could say a thousand things more, but I'll say just one - for the PRICE, because the barrier of entry is low *enough* - just try it.  Just dive in and try it.  For me, alongside Celeste, Hollow is one of best games I have played since I got my Switch. Celeste and Hollow are easy 10/10 for me, if you wanted to score it.

TRY IT!!!!!!

One day I'll get this one, it's dirt cheap nowadays. Am I wrong in thinking ZombiU might've been the only big budget 3rd party game designed for the system? I guess it got ported later on too.

This is one of those games that’s legitimately great on the Wii U and loses so much on other consoles.  The game pad was awesome on it. The graphics while not great had a dirty muddy ugly look which fit the art style. On other consoles it’s so sharp it just looks bad. Weird I know but many people swear by this game because despite rough edges it was great. In fact I think it’s a better resident evil style FPS than resident evil 7.

Well, Rayman Legends was going to be that, but... we all know what happened there.

Wasn't Lost Reavers a fairly big budget game?
