The Newscast is two down this week, so Nathan Mustafa joins us again to deliver the Nintendo-related news... and a whole lot of other stuff as well.

Zach and Nathan team up this week to deliver review coverage of Dive: The Secret of Medes Island and the latest Dragonball Origins title for Nintendo DS.

As always, the Newscast crew runs down the weekly downloads and releases, letting you know what looks good, and more importantly, what doesn't.

Tried hard to make this the worst episode, eh?

I'm flattered that you think my absence automatically makes this the worst episode. :P

A quote that was edited out for this one, "People expected failure, and we served it to them on a golden platter," Zach interjects, " a golden turd!"

I'm equal parts scared and excited to listen to this episode.

Just remember, Andy and Neal will return in...

The Man With The Golden Turd

Killjoy time:

1) They have announced a method to upload Pokemon from the 4th generation to Black, White and Grey - the PokeShifter. And there's a minigame involved. Joy.

2) The easiest way to explain the rules of cricket would be the classic Tea Towel Method.

3) I know you love mixed metaphors, but hitting a ball out of the boundary in cricket is a "six" rather than a home run.

The only thing I know of cricket are 2-minute videos on YouTube, but that explanation just made me more confused than before. I know basically nothing of cricket, so I can't tell if that was a serious explanation attempt or a joke one.

Also,  I really hope they are more creative than "gray" when it comes to the third game (I also think they don't want to use that name since you Euro/Aussie folks use the "grey" spelling, and they might have to use different spellings for the game).

what is this

i don't even

So you really couldn't tell if we were joking or being serious? We did a better job than I thought!

I think he was talking to me (and for the record, I'm pretty sure the tea towel thing is a joke).

@ Shaymin, then we have a case of multiple jokers on our hands

OMG how long is cricket discussion going to be discussed..... :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

LOL at Burger King hands ;D

Apparently that shooter game will give you wiipoints for having high scores.

Contest:

beat the game get the high score code. input code. and if you get top 3 scores you get 2000 wiipoints and one random person.

I don't think I'd have made it to the end of this if I hadn't been playing Dragon Quest IX while listening.

Myxtika1 AznAugust 08, 2010

I have to agree with KDR on this;  I had to stop listening 15 minutes in.

I enjoyed this, but in the same way a father might enjoy listening to his two children talk bullshit about cricket.

I loved this.  Please keep Mustafa on every episode.

;D

PS I'm a huge Blazblue fan.  Got both of them on 360.  So I dloaded the dsiware game.  Its not bad.  Kinda fun.  If you can get anyone else to play with its worth the $5.

I was totally cool with that comment till the winky face

: (

Hey, do you guys accept review requests?  I'd like to see a review for the DSiWare title TURN:  The Lost Artifact.  It looks like a neat combination of And Yet It Moves and Mighty Flip Champs.

I realized I haven't actually commented on this thread.

For the curious, Nathan and I came up with the cricket thing as revenge on Neal for his 20-minute football discussion in Episode 22. Nate is an awesome co-host, and I love having him on. And thanks to Andy for slogging through the editing process.

Agreed.  Mustafa was a great addition.  And with the exception of the cricket talk which I found hilarous, the show was paced very well.
