After a false start at recording episode 7 last week, we come back with a vengeance, providing three weeks worth of news in this double episode.

This week's episode gives a peak at the upcoming reviews of Jurassic: The Hunted, Need For Speed Nitro DS, and a preview of Trauma Team for the Wii. Also, Neal talks about his review of Spirit Tracks, which went live last week.

Also in this episode are a rundown of the WiiWare, Virtual Console, and DSiWare games of the past three weeks, and discussion of recent news stories such as the Q1 2010 release schedule.

As always, we welcome any feedback you would like to give.

Talkback

The lost episode will be something of legend. Zach hosted it. :P

I'll have to host again sometime, it was fun, though not nearly as professional as Mr. Andy keeps it.

Wahooooooooo!!!

It's an interesting challenge to host a show while also participating in it. That is a big difference between what we do and "moderators" who just keep the discussion flowing without contributing much themselves.

There's no point in complaining about a lack of release dates for WiiWare games, they almost never get dates announced before they're just released and almost all that get a date announced miss it.

EDIT: Army Defender is NOT a tower defense! It's more like a shoot 'em up.

Funny, true story: when I heard you guys mention Personal Trainer: Cooking and my love for it, I was at that very moment cooking a recipe, with my DS opened up to the list of ingredients. I went a few months without using it much, but just recently I've started using it again to test recipes for an upcoming competition.

BTW, Pop Island is supposedly a load of fun, it's not out here so I can only go by what Americans say on the internet though.

I think the voice feature in PT:C is mostly because during a recipe you'd likely have dirty fingers and won't want to touch the DS.

I've still got some points on my DSi (picked up Rayman and just picked up Bookworm), and Pop Island does seem rather cool.

My beef with the voice feature in PT:C is that it was too sensitive. I would be doing something and some incidental noise would have the game asking "what was that?" repeatedly or moving on with me.

Still, I think it is a really great game.

Thanks to you two, I've just requested it from Goozex.  Looking forward to trying it out.

When you started talking about Green Day: Rock Band I had a feeling I would be quoted.

Nice show so far, I have about an hour left.

Since it doesn't really fit into the format of a news podcast to have a mailbag feature, I thought it was a great way to involve the community in the podcast.

I like it a lot!

Now that I got an iPod for christmas I'm trying to subscribe to the Newscast but there's no subscribe link. feed:// links are an invalid protocol according to Opera so I'Ve only got the RFN one now.

KDR, I'll look into getting an iTunes store link, however in the meantime, if you go into iTunes and select the Advanced menu and "Subscribe to Podcast" and then post the AAC (preferably) or MP3 feed link into the window that pops up.

Here's the full feed URL that you paste into iTunes: feed://www.nintendoworldreport.com/podcast/newscastaacfeed.xml

KDR, here's the iTunes link: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=327358769

I'll put this in the news post for the podcast going forward.  Thanks!
