Also, Sin and Punishment: Star Successor is getting pushed back to late June, and a number of WiiWare and DSiWare titles are given release dates.
Today, Nintendo announced an update to the summer release schedule for Wii. Sin & Punishment: Star Successor will now launch on June 27, and Metroid: Other M is now confirmed for August 31. Previously, the titles were set for a June 6 and June 27 release respectively.

Some online retailers are listing revised launch dates for both titles.
NeoGAF Forums user DarthButcher has posted that, according to his retail sources, Metroid: Other M and Sin & Punishment 2 might be delayed.

Even more interesting is that this date puts the 3DS directly up against Project Natal, the new motion-sensing peripheral for the Xbox 360. Microsoft has indicated that they will essentially be "relaunching" the Xbox 360 alongside Natal this October. Both of these products will be introducing new styles of gameplay, based on familiar and successful brands.

Among others, Capcom is bringing Okamiden, Ghost Trick, and Sengoku BASARA Stateside next year.
At Capcom's recent Captivate 2010 event in Hawaii, some new details were let loose concerning their 2011 release schedule in North America. DS owners can look forward to Okamiden (the follow-up to 2007's Okami) and Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, in which you take the form of a recently-deceased man searching for clues as to how he came to die.

Hunters rejoice. It's time to gear up and get out there!
Several of us here at Nintendo World Report have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Capcom's Wii-exclusive Monster Hunter Tri. Capcom kicked off the launch hoopla with last weekend's launch event at the Nintendo World Store in New York, followed that up with yesterday's launch trailer, and today pulls off the trifecta with the official launch press release.

Survive high school with Mega Man and Game and Watch games in this week's set of titles.
In this week's update, DSiWare gets the most titles, while Virtual Console and WiiWare only get one game each. The Virtual Console receives Capcom's Mega Man 4, originally released for the NES in 1992. Like past Mega Man titles, Mega Man 4 offers a high degree of shooting and platforming challenge at 500 Wii Points ($5.00).

Majesco's flip-flopping 3D platformer is steering clear of Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Majesco's 3D platformer is being delayed from its previous June release to a September one, according to a representative from Majesco.
The reason for the delay is to steer clear of competing products, which one can safely assume refers to Nintendo's Super Mario Galaxy 2, slated for a May 23 release.

Nintendo filed a copyright for Hobo Nichi no Kenkou Techou, which roughly translates to Almost Daily Health Notebook, a new free health DSiWare application launching in Japan on April 21.

Hideki Kamiya desperately wants a new Star Fox title.
Hideki Kamiya, director of Okami and Bayonetta, is making quite a Twitter name for himself as he recently said he wants Nintendo to force Platinum Games to make a new Star Fox title.
"I want Nintendo's staff to come to Platinum, stick guns at us and tell us 'You guys make a new Star Fox,'" he said.

Nintendo's plus-sized handheld puts up "solid" numbers.
Nintendo's latest handheld, the DSi XL, sold 141,000 units from its launch on March 28 to the end of the NPD reporting period on April 3, according to financial analyst Michael Pachter.
Those numbers made up about 20 percent of all DS sales, which also included the DS Lite and DSi, in March.

Ubisoft's MotionPlus-powered title is slow out of the gate after 12 days of sales.
Kotaku reports that Red Steel 2 sold about 50,000 units in the March NPDs according to financial analyst Michael Pachter.

delivers a 1-2 punch in the latest edition of the NPD sales report.
Nintendo Wii and DS were the top two selling game systems in March, according to the latest report from the NPD Group. Wii sales reached 560,000 consoles, and combined DS system sales reached over 700,000 handhelds, setting a new record for portable system sales. In a recent press release, Nintendo notes that sales of Nintendo systems amounted to 59% of all video game hardware sold in March.

A new power up is revealed and more possibilities are promised in the cooperative mode.
An update on Nintendo's Japanese website for Super Mario Galaxy has revealed a host of screenshots and videos for new features. Exploring the microsite gives you a handful of screenshots of the new enemies, videos of the red, yellow and blue Yoshis and their various interations and some of the new gameplay.
