Gimmick is not the only title coming back from Sunsoft and City Connection soon.
A "Sunsoft is back!" presentation released on YouTube earlier announced that Ufouria: The Saga - the 1991 Famicom title that later re-released on the Wii and Wii U Virtual Consoles - will also release in early 2023.

A game only previously localized in Scandinavia is coming to Switch this fall after three decades.
Publisher Bitwave Games have announced a version of 1992 Famicom title Gimmick! will released on Switch and other consoles worldwide this fall. The Gimmick! rerelease marks the first time it was re-released on a console platform since 2010, though it was released on the ex-Arcadia PC platform in 2020.

A nice way to end the summer.
Aquatic racing is next up for the NSO Expansion Pack.
1996's Wave Race 64 will be August's addition to the N64 library, launching on late Thursday / Friday depending on the time zone. It follows last month's addition of Pokemon Puzzle League.
Wave Race 64 previously appeared on Virtual Console for the Wii and Wii U, though in a slightly modified form to remove advertisements for Kawasaki.

Half announced, half not (BAY BAY)
THQ Nordic aired a showcase today which featured a half-dozen game updates for Switch.
New footage for the recently-confirmed AEW Fight Forever was shown, confirming the existence of minigames (including a baseball themed one) as well as intergender matches via an ingame match between former AEW Women's Champion Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D and her occasional tag team partner Adam Cole. The game was still teased as "coming soon".

Kirby's buffet of dreams appears to be opening soon - at least in Japan.
Nintendo has confirmed an August 17 (Wednesday) release for the Japanese version of Kirby's Dream Buffet, the multiplayer action game revealed last month. Nintendo of America later confirmed the date was for a worldwide release and released the overview trailer below.

Square Enix is getting out in front of their other strategy RPG coming out on Switch before the end of the year after announcing the Tactics Ogre remake last week.
A demo for The DioField Chronicle is now available on the eShop ahead of the full game's release on September 22. As with other recent demos, it covers the game's first chapter and the save data will carry over in the event of a purchase.

The publishers of Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion have decided to tackle death with their next Switch release.
Graffiti Games have announced that indie adventure Restless Soul will come to Switch on September 1. Developed by new developer Fuz Games, it stars a soul newly arrived in the afterlife that has some unfinished business in the ethereal realm.

With a month until launch day, it's time for some more fresh information.
More details about Splatoon 3 are about to spawn.
A dedicated Splatoon 3 Direct will air on Wednesday (August 10) at 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT / 1500 CET. It will run for approximately 30 minutes.
Although prior Directs have included large Splatoon 3 sections, this is the first time the game has gotten a dedicated show.

I guess you could call this a concentric remake.
One of the worst kept secrets in the industry has finally been made official by Square Enix.
After multiple trademark filings and a listing on the PlayStation store, SE has announced Tactics Ogre: Reborn - a remake of 2010's Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, itself a remake of the 1995 Super Famicom RPG later released on the original PlayStation in North America - will release on November 11, 2022 on Switch.
