Get your chat on from up to 3 miles away!

GameStop is listing some very interesting upcoming products from Majesco. The first is a wireless messenger device. This small unit, which includes it's own battery, will enable users to chat with their friends up to three miles away. The device allows users to chat privately with each other, or in chat groups. Because the units create their own network, there is no need for any sort of service fee that is usually associated with wireless messaging via cell phones and other such devices. The wireless messenger includes an internal battery which charges through the GBA SP’s cartridge port when the system is plugged in to charge itself. The unit can also go up to one week on a single charge. Even more impressive, because of the battery, the unit can even receive messages (up to 1500) even while it isn’t plugged in. Due to the fact that the unit charges via the GBA SP’s charge, it’s unknown if it will work with the old model GBA.

Also available from Majeso is a wireless link system for Game Boy Advance. Unlike the Wireless Messenger, the Wireless Link doesn’t even require a battery. It draws power from the GBA’s link port. It also uses the GBA’s standard link protocols, which makes it compatible with any game that does (that number exceeds 250). The unit will automatically find other units in range, and up to 3 groups of 4 players each in the same area can play at the same time.
