Put down a few bucks on Pokemon Fire Red or Leaf Green to get a free trainer's guide.

Starting August 1st, North American Pokemon fans can receive a free Pokemon Pocket Trainer's Guide when they pre-order Pokemon Fire Red or Leaf Green at most stores. The offer is apparently aimed at new players who want to take a crack at these remakes of the original games. Fire Red & Leaf Green will ship on September 7 at a suggested price of $39.99 each. The games each include a Wireless Adapter for GBA, which lets you battle, trade, and chat wirelessly in certain games...namely these two Pokemon titles, plus Mario Golf: Advance Tour and a few other upcoming games.

This offer seems that it would only be apealing to those untainted by Pokémon...

No names come to mind.

I still dont understand why they're not changing leaf green to water blue or something.

Nintendo acts like this is the first time Pokemon has been released here in the states, Nintendo can be rather strange at times, I mean get real Nintendo, the franchise is a hit here, give us a little more credit. :/

What sort of new Pokemon fan would pre-order in the first place?

I hear that for the Revolution launch Nintendo is going to include as a pre-order bonus video on how to play videogames, you know, for all the new gamers that are going to pre-order a system for launch. Included in the set will be instructions on how to run the video in a VCR and a Hooked on Phonics kit to teach people how to read the instructions.

$40 is absolutely obscene, but I guarentee you somebody or other will have it for $30 (probably $25) the week it launches.

Ninty seriously needs to include this for some people... face-icon-small-wink.gif

Well, you have to remember that each version will come with a wireless adapter, so that explains why the game is back to the old cost of GBA games.

i can't believe that there's already a pre-order bonus for this when there hasn't even been wind of a 3rd for ruby and sapphire.
