The Matrix game enters the Player's Choice range.

Enter The Matrix now in Atari's budget ranges

Atari is delighted to announce that Enter The Matrix, the blockbuster video game of 2003, is now available on PC, Xbox, GameCube and PS2 in the Classics, Player's Choice, and Platinum ranges.

The PS2 and PC versions are new editions, updated to include two fantastic new mini-games.

Developed by award-winning Shiny Entertainment (an Atari studio), Enter The Matrix is a revolution in interactive entertainment - a third-person action game that effectively blurs the line between Hollywood blockbuster films and next generation video games. The game is directed by and features a script written by the Wachowski brothers, writers/directors of The Matrix film trilogy, creating the most intensive collaboration between a video game publisher and a movie studio to date. More information about Enter The Matrix is available at www.enterthematrixgame.com.

Enter The Matrix includes approximately one hour of never-before-seen footage - shot exclusively for the game - using the actors, sets and crew from the blockbuster film, The Matrix Reloaded. In addition, the game features an hour of cineractives, directed by the Wachowskis and rendered within the game engine to help tell the epic story of Enter The Matrix.

Enter The Matrix has already brought hours of fun to over five million gamers worldwide since its launch in May 2003, and this success is sure to continue as the budget price points make this game more accessible than ever to Matrix fans.

Still not gonna buy it.

Ditto.

A friend let me "hack" the game on his comp, after hitting the wrong keys too many times I just hit ALT-F4. I'm used to Linux shells, which are a whole lot more comfortable than the crap this game is emulating.

"The PS2 and PC versions are new editions, updated to include two fantastic new mini-games."

Wow, talk about a big "f*ck you" to the morons who actually bought this game. "Thanks for making this game a success! Now buy it again to get the REAL game." Rewarding late adopters for the success provided by the early adopters? Sounds like Atari is copying Nintendo. face-icon-small-wink.gif

Anyhoo as successful as this game undeservingly is I can rest easy at night knowing that because of those two crummy sequels the original film's legacy (which I thought was really overrated to begin with) has been tainted forever. Seems like a fitting punishment for the fans who bought this crappy game.

Amen, brother. Amen

Hrmph, Still seems to be $39.99 Canadian. (checking FutureShop.com) I'm not even going to think about buying this untill its atleast $29.99 CDN (the price of Beyond Good and Evil)

I've heard nothing but good things about BG&E, and I've heard almost nothing but bad things about this Matrix game... I'm suprised they didn't change the price earlier.
